BILOXI, Miss. A Columbus, Georgia, man hit the 12-point-three (m) million dollar jackpot playing a Wheel of Fortune progressive dollar slot machine at the Isle of Capri in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Isle marketing director Justin Hill said the man, who declined to sign a press release, won the jackpot yesterday. Hill said the man told casino officials that he had spent about 40-dollars at the machine.

The jackpot follows the eight-point-two (m) million dollars a Metairie, Louisiana, woman won in March at the Isle playing Wheel of Fortune quarter slot.

NELSON TALKS "PIRATE TALES," "THE ENIGMA CIPHER" & MORE

While there are a quite a few "Boom!" regulars, Michael Alan Nelson is a little different from the (more comic-experienced) pack. He's written for most of Boom! Studios' "Tales" anthologies and he's currently writing "War of the Worlds: Second Wave" and with Andrew Cosby "X-Isle" and "The Enigma Cipher." "War of the Worlds: Second Wave" is his first ongoing series comic writing and it's been getting excellent reviews around the internet. CBR News caught up with Nelson to discuss the wide variety of projects he's currently working on.

You've written a novel (published online at http://dingonovel.blogspot.com/) and have other prose writing experience. Is your work at Boom! your first comic book writing? How'd you get into it?

Yes, my work for Boom! was my first time doing comic book writing.

Teen ace shuns Comets in bid to ride for Scorpions

TEENAGER Richie Dennis says he doesn't want to commit himself to Workington Comets despite an eye-catching display last Saturday which made him favourite for a permanent role in the team. Dennis, 18, explained that he wants to be able to ride for Scunthorpe next season if they make the transition to the Premier League. Although flattered by Workington's interest and having enjoyed his outing for the Comets against Newcastle last Saturday, Dennis wants to concentrate on the Conference League with the Scorpions. Comets boss Graham Drury said: “He wasn't interested in joining us as our Grade C reserve rider for the rest of the season because he wants to keep himself clear in case Scunthorpe make the move up. “The Scunthorpe management haven't definitely decided to do that but it is a possibility.

Cruise to the British Isles

There are islands in the Hebrides and Orkneys where only one man lives, an island unto himself and maybe a thousand sheep. And there are others with no one in residence at all, but wild sheep share the scenery with otters and eagles and vast colonies of nesting sea birds. .

THE Crown Dependencies need to stand united against countries ridiculing their status. IoM Department of Trade and Industry minister Alex Downie said a clear and consistent message should be sent to those still keen to run the islands down.
All the jurisdictions are subject to ridicule and threats from other countries about our offshore status. Were still referred to as tax havens, which were not were all well-run and properly-regulated jurisdictions, he said.
We can work collectively to get the message across that British offshore jurisdictions are well run and competent and I think thats strategically worthwhile. It doesnt do any harm for the chief ministers and respective ministers to meet on a regular basis and talk.
He added that Spain had been particularly down on all the offshore dependencies.
